Asian and Scandinavian minimalism intertwine to create beautifully fresh, clean garments at ODEUR Studios this season. The collection featured a quite obvious inspiration to Asian martial arts with a selection of karate trousers and a full Karategi look which added a strong sense of restraint to the collection. Although many of the looks carried a strong simplistic edge, there were a variety of unspoken messages being whispered down the catwalk. Besides a handful of garments the major part of the looks could easily be swapped between the sexes and the line between male and female faded to nothing more than a blurred shadow on the runway. Sharp asymmetrical cuts, kimono sleeves, graphic prints and clean lines sliced through each look creating an illusive, modern yet composed collection. The architectural structures and strong patterns made a loud graphic statement. The two Swedish designers were successful in their translation of the overall vibe and sentiment of society to date.
